Mind, Not Art, Creates Designs

Creative marketing elevates a persuasive message that drives readers to support your business. The horticultural and outdoor industries also gain from this mindset.

I don’t set edgy trends. I’m not trying to create the fanciest artwork, photos, or poetry in the industry. I use visuals and text that connect with your ideal audience and support mutual desires..

I’m an observer, thinker, and communicator with creative tools.

Strategy From Marketing Writing

That communication comes from a copywriting background. It taught me to study you, your industry, and your marketing issues. Just as well, I seek to understand your audience and their relevant problems. I fit those needs together to promise a quality solution in your message.

I don’t want you to lose a tactful message because somewhere along the way didn’t deliver. Design, photography, and writing need to all work together.

I want your audience to respond to you. If you have a solid offer, my job is to reveal how the offer with quality creative output.

Marketing Campaign: Multi-Skilled Portfolio

I created a fictional campaign for a mock local nature photography company. It progressed from a blog post to an ebook landing page, a Facebook ad, and a sales email. They end with an offer of a field course on the challenging light situations in the local Ozark forests.

Blog Post: The photography company used content to attract an audience. Blogs with useful information addressing a problem are good for SEO. Photos, illustrations, and breaking up the “gray wall of text” make the post appealing. A magazine-style layout doesn’t need SEO. But visual flow helps with easy reading.

Landing Page: The company dedicated a page to a free ebook. This lead magnet encouraged people who came for the blog to disclose their email for more content. The page includes copy, illustrations, a product mockup, and an action button. It also has a spacious layout for outdoor lovers.

Digital Ad: Reach out to prospects who didn’t search for a forest photography article. The company ran ads for Google and social media platforms. I tailored the copy to Google’s character and line limitations. For social media, relevant images can deliver more information.

Sales Email: Alongside a standard newsletter campaign, the photography company promotional emails. The email list gained from their social media ads and SEO blog reach.

Course Brochure: With a course launch, an outdoor photography studio can add in-person collateral. A brochure is perfect for a visual business and can complement the online campaign.

Sales Letter: Niche magazines rely on an audience already invested in their subject. Readers tend to be willing to read sales letters and love freemiums that they can enjoy.

Florist business flyer

Flyers: Florists have significant local traffic, making business flyers an easy option. Is a special occasion coming up? Prospects already have the contact information and address.

Poster: Local environmental nonprofits often use nearby universities as sources of energetic volunteers. Thus, they need posters that convey a greater purpose and fun at a damaged but beautiful site.

Photography Portfolio

  • Garden Photography: A garden or natural area isn’t only about the specific location—though it can be. Natural beauty attracts a broad audience. Yet it speaks for specific horticultural and recreation industries or nature-themed brands.

  • Product Photography: Have shovels, boots, tripods, GPS receivers, or botanical home decor? Many products need accurate, clean, and imagination-stimulating imagery. The remote audience in the browsing stage will need them.
